A Nostalgic Spot Marred by Terrible Service and Poor Upkeep.
My stay at this hotel was deeply disappointing, despite its nostalgic charm. From the start, small details set a negative tone: the salt and pepper shakers in the dining area were slimy and unhygienic. Room service was abysmal—completely non-responsive whenever I reached out. The in-room safe was non-functional, leaving me with no secure way to store my valuables.
Worst of all was the attitude of the staff; many seemed to have a problem with guests, appearing unapproachable and unhelpful whenever I needed assistance. When I ordered a burger, it took 45 minutes to arrive—and when it did, it was stone cold. I couldn’t even enjoy basic comforts in my room, as there was no hot water available, and the mattress was very old and lumpy, making for a terrible night’s sleep.
After the cold burger was delivered, I left it untouched, but staff never came to pick it up. Even after 24 hours, it remained in my room, so I had to move it to the hallway myself. The breakfast bar was also well below standard: the bread was dry and stale, and the fruit smelled off, making the morning meal unappetizing.
This place has real potential as a nostalgic destination, but it’s let down by dingy surroundings and service that feels completely neglected. I wouldn’t recommend staying here unless major improvements are made.
